They also contain information about fire statistics in AU Residence Halls and crime statistics for the three previous calendar years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by Auburn; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus.

This information is required by law and is provided by AU Department of Public Safety and Security.

Position Summary Information

Job Description Summary

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral researcher position in the area of plant pathology at Auburn University. We are seeking a highly motivated scientist to investigate the roles of hormone signaling in Arabidopsis immune responses. Emphasis will be placed on the use of biochemical, biophysical and molecular genetic approaches to understand interplays between hormone signaling and cellular redox homeostasis in the regulation of nucleus gene expressions.

Minimum Qualifications

Qualifications: Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in Plant Pathology, Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or other closely related field by the time he/she is appointed to the position and a strong background in biochemistry and molecular biology. Knowledge of computers and software programs is required as well as the ability to perform experiments independently, the ability to prepare scientific publications, excellent interpersonal communication skills, the ability to communicate effectively in English, demonstrated technical excellence and the ability to work independently and in a team environment. In addition, the selected candidate must meet eligibility requirements for work in the U.S. by the start date and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment. The position is initially for one year with the possibility of extension depending on performance and funding availability. The start date is as early as August, 2016.
